Privacy Policy

How Alpha Plus Solution collects, uses, holds and manages personal information.

1. Introduction

Alpha Plus Solution (APS) respects privacy and is committed to handling personal information responsibly. This policy explains how APS collects, uses, holds and discloses personal information in connection with organisation enquiries, the APS Talent Network, professional representation, referrals and contractor engagements.

APS handles personal information in accordance with applicable Australian privacy laws, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, where they apply.

2. Information we collect

The information APS may collect depends on how a person or organisation engages with us.

Organisations and general enquiries

This may include a contact's name, role, organisation, work email, phone number, enquiry type and the information included in their message.

ICT professionals and Talent Network

This may include a professional's name, contact details, location, CV or resume, employment history, qualifications, skills, availability, engagement preferences, security-clearance status, citizenship or work eligibility, and other professional profile information they choose to provide.

Referral Program

This may include the referrer's contact details, the referred professional's name and contact details, the nature of the referral, and information needed to administer the program. A referrer should have the other person's permission before providing their details.

Contractor engagements

Where a professional is engaged, APS may collect information needed to establish and administer the engagement, including whether the arrangement is PAYG or Pty Ltd or ABN, contract and onboarding information, superannuation information where relevant, timesheets, performance and delivery records, and payment administration information.

3. Sensitive information

APS will only seek sensitive information where it is reasonably necessary for an activity or engagement and where collection is permitted by law. Please do not send identity documents, procurement-sensitive material, security-sensitive material or confidential client information through a general enquiry.

4. How we collect information

APS may collect information directly by email, phone or during meetings and professional conversations. We may also receive information through a CV or resume, a referral, a client or an appropriate public professional source.

The initial public website uses email links for organisation and ICT professional enquiries. It does not transmit information through a web form, and the current public website does not provide a CV upload. Contact APS at info@alphaplussolution.com.au.

If APS enables an online submission service, the information entered will be collected for the purpose described beside that form and this policy will be reviewed against the implemented service.

5. How we use information

APS may use personal information to:

  • respond to enquiries and communicate about relevant services;
  • understand an organisation's capability or delivery requirements;
  • maintain professional profiles in the APS Talent Network;
  • discuss and assess potential professional opportunities;
  • administer referrals, contracts, onboarding and contractor engagements;
  • support delivery, compliance and business administration; and
  • meet applicable legal and regulatory obligations.

6. Professional representation

Joining the APS Talent Network or providing a CV does not give APS unrestricted or exclusive authority to represent an ICT professional.

APS will seek the professional's agreement before representing or submitting them for a specific opportunity. Participation in the Talent Network does not promise an opportunity, interview or engagement.

7. When we disclose information

APS may disclose personal information where reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including to a client after the professional has agreed to be represented for a specific opportunity, to advisers or service providers supporting an engagement, or where required or authorised by law.

APS takes reasonable steps to limit disclosure to information relevant to the particular purpose.

8. Talent Network communications

APS may contact Talent Network members about relevant professional opportunities, capability discussions and program information. A professional may ask APS to stop these communications or remove their profile from active Talent Network consideration by emailing info@alphaplussolution.com.au.

9. Storage and security

APS takes reasonable steps appropriate to the information and its use to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.

10. Retention

APS retains personal information for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, to administer an ongoing relationship or engagement, or to meet applicable legal and business requirements. When information is no longer required, APS will take reasonable steps to delete it or de-identify it where appropriate.

A professional may ask APS to remove their profile from active Talent Network consideration at any time.

11. Access and correction

You may ask to access personal information APS holds about you or request that inaccurate, out-of-date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading information be corrected. Email info@alphaplussolution.com.au with enough detail for APS to understand the request.

APS may need to verify your identity before responding. If access or correction cannot be provided, APS will explain the reason where required.

12. Privacy complaints

If you have a concern about how APS has handled personal information, email info@alphaplussolution.com.au. Please describe the issue and the outcome you are seeking so APS can assess and respond to the concern.

If you are not satisfied with the response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) for information about available privacy complaint options.

13. Data breaches

If APS becomes aware of unauthorised access to or disclosure or loss of personal information, APS will assess the incident and take appropriate steps. Where the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme applies, APS will notify affected individuals and the OAIC when required by law.

14. Changes to this policy

APS may update this policy when its practices, services or legal obligations change. The current version will be published on this page.
